October Roundup

I’ve always enjoyed roundup posts and I’ve thought from time to time that I should start to do some kind of roundup when the month is over. A roundup post would simplify things when it’s time to do a top 10 polishes and nail arts of 2013. Of course I should have done this since January but hey, it’s no better time to start doing something new than now :D .

Nail Art Challenges

October started with a feeling of relief as the 31 Days Challenge was over that soon turned into a feeling of emptiness. I really enjoyed coming up with ideas for nail art on a daily basis.  Very soon I joined two other challenges, the BusyGirlsNails that runs on a weekly basis and that ends next week and the United In Pink week that was a week of pink manicures to raise the awareness of breast cancer. I didn’t join every day on the last one but I did participate with three manicures :).

Features

One of the highlights of this month was the interview I did for SoNailicious. It was an honor for me to be featured not only because I love her nail magazine/blog but also since SoNailicious has featured before so many great nail artists including some of my favorites like Sammy of the Nailasaurus, Lucy of Lucy’s Stash and Marta of ChitChatNails.

I’ve also done a couple of guest posts at Eleven.se. It’s always a pleasure for me to do those guest posts because I always enjoy combining the polishes included in an nail art and that is sometimes a challenge.

Nail Art

This month everything went back to “normal” when I’m usually doing about two or three nail arts a week and I show swatches the rest of the week. My favorite nail arts this month turned out to be the Halloween Nail art with the spider, the pink/purple skittelette and the pink rose nail art done for United in Pink.

Polishes

To choose a top three polishes of this month is for me a really hard thing to do since I feel there were so many gorgeous polishes that I’ve swatched this month! I’ve tried a couple of new indie brands for me (Celestial and Mod Lacquers) and I loved them but I’ve also enjoyed some polishes coming from the mainstream brands like China Glaze and OPI. I still feel I need to choose three favorites so I’m going for China Glaze – Bat My Eyes, OPI – Alcatraz… Rocks and Mod Lacquer – Chupacabra.

Misc.

I’ve also done a couple of blog post that I’m not usually doing like a tutorial and a nail care blog post. Also this month I turned three years of blogging and I still love doing it!

I think this will round up this month! Are you usually doing roundups for the month that has gone?

You have achieved so much this month Ina! I don’t understand how you find the time ;) It’s great seeing all this though! Maybe I should start doing roundups… but they will be much shorter than this! Lol! :)

Hi Ina, I love your round-up and think I should start doing them as well!!! I just got one question: how on earth can you actually identify a favorite nailart? I would have the hardest of times to pick any you showed :-)!!! And cngratulations to your Blog Anniversary <3

Happy Blog Anniversary!!! It is inspiring to me to see someone going strong after 3 years. I just found your blog in a link from the 31DC2013 challenge and also because you started following me on Bloglovin’ (thanks!) – so now, I’m following you. Yay! And I like your round-up post too. Love that background for the spider (the spider is great too though).

I love how you did the round up! :)) All three nail arts are gorgeous, especially the one for Halloween :) and I think Chupacabra would be my fav from the 2nd trio :)
