I was browsing through Etsy the other week for polishes when I found Mod Lacquer and her fall collection with the name Cryptid Collection. I fell in love with it immediately and ended up ordering the whole 8 polish collection as minis. The mini collection was divided in two parts and this is part one.
This was my absolutely favorite from the collection and the first one to try out! The green holographic glitters are infused into a black jelly base and they are making a great contrast to that base. Two coats were needed for opacity.
This one is a shimmer with tiny holographic particles. It doesn’t make it a holo polish though but it gives the polish that sparkle in sunlight that makes the polish so interesting. Revenant has a subtle duo-chrome tendency that is barely noticeable on the nails but when it is visible it goes from blue to purple. I’m wearing two coats in the picture.
This glitter is so cool! In a black jelly base there are lots of red and silver holographic glitters sparkling in different shades! Two coats cover enough to make this polish opaque. One coat of topcoat isn’t enough to make this glossy so I had to put on a second coat shortly after the first one.
I’m not a big fan of bar glitters and while looking at the bottles I thought this was going to be my least loved polish from the collection but I ended up loving this combo so much that I’m considering wearing it again soon! As a base for the manicure I used Color Club Oh Naturale. In the picture I’m wearing one coat of Loup Garou over the peachy base.
I’m really glad I’ve got this set and part I is absolutely gorgeous! Chupacabra is my favorite among these polishes but the real surprise turned out to be the bar glitter that I loved much more than I expected to love.
Have you tried Mod Lacquer yet? Which one of these four polishes is your favorite?
