31DC2014 Day 2 -Orange Nails

By MyNailpolishOnline

It’s the second day of the 31DC2014 and the theme for today is “Orange Nails”. This is actually the last picture done for my e-book and it’s also thought to be a part of the 31DC2014 for either orange nails or yellow nails. I chose it to be for the orange nails because I have something in mind for tomorrows challenge, the yellow nails. The manicure is built up by sponging the gradient over a white base as the polishes used for it are both neons. The yellow is Pipe Dream “Light of Today” and the orange is Essie – “Bazooka”. For the flower I’ve used Pipe Dream – “V.I.P Pass” and Nordic Cap NP12.

Both Pipe Dream “Light of Today” and Pipe Dream “V.I.P Pass” are coming from Edgy Polish. Check out last year’s contribution to the challenge with these Orange Nails.

31DC2014 Day 1 – Red Nails

By MyNailpolishOnline

Hi lovelies! I enjoyed doing the 31DC2013 so much that I’ve decided to do it again this year! The challenge starts with red nails and I’ve started with a red gradient built up by Essie – She’s pampered and Shimmer Polish – Marilyn. The deep red colors were exactly what I was searching for so I was very happy wearing this manicure! On top of my gradient I’ve done an accent nail with Orly Luxe and Nordic Cap NP12.

Be sure to check out last year’s red nails and come back tomorrow when I’m showing orange nails!

Roundup for August 2014

By MyNailpolishOnline

Fall is on it’s way and I’m just loving it! Sure, the mornings are colder and darker and so are the evenings, but there is something cozy about this time of the year! Maybe you’re wondering why I’m posting the roundup today and not tomorrow :D The reason is that tomorrow is September 1st and I’m starting the 31 Day Challenge 2014 so I wanted to post the roundup today at the end of August :) Let’s take a look at this month’s favorite polishes, nail arts and features!

Features

I’ve done four guest posts this month, three at Eleven.se and one at “A girl and her chicken named Betty“. The manicures featured in the guest posts included Kardashian beauty polishes, Mavala’s Technicolor polishes, Zoya polishes and a gradient with golden flowers taken from my soon to come out e-book “Basic nail art techniques and how to combine them“.

Favorite nail art August 2014

My favorite nail arts for August were the gold flowers done on the blue gradient, featured in a blog post done for “A girl and her chicken named Betty“, the watercolored flower that goes over the two nails and the watermelon manicure. Actually I didn’t expect I would love the last one so much but I really did and even if I love the other two a lot I think the watermelon manicure totally won my heart this month.

Polishes

From a lot of gorgeous polishes worn this month I’ve found my favorites for August in these three polishes. The beautiful “Pipe Dream – V.I.P. Pass” is very close to one of the polishes worn during my vacation so I obviously love this color :DIsaDora – Autumn Leaves” is one of the prettiest IsaDora polishes that I own so it had a given place in my top three this month! Then “Kiko 336 – Electric blue“… so beautiful! Of course I had to have Electric blue on my favorite list, it’s just too pretty to ignore it!

So, which one is your favorite? Are you going to participate in the 31DC2014?

#BusyGirlNails – Inspired by Summer Nail Art

By MyNailpolishOnline

Last week of the #BusyGirlNails challenge has the theme “Inspired by Summer” and I’m choosing summer colors and glitter as an inspiration. The base of my manicure is the beautiful Nfu-Oh MOR08, a polish that I’m reaching to from time to time because of it’s glorious summer shade. I’ve paired MOR08 with Shimmer Polish Jasmine on the index finger and pinkie and together with Girly Bits Apparition and Color Club – Platinum record on the long finger. On my ring finger I’ve used some guides to paint silver chevrons with OPI – Turn On the Haute Light.

The #BusyGirlNails summer challenge is hosted by @beautybyarielle, @fiercemakeupandnails@mirandasmakeup and @drinkcitra.
