First of all, Merry Christmas to you all! I hope Santa makes all your wishes come true this year :)
Now, it’s that time of the year when we look back and reflect on the year that has passed, some of us choosing our favorites of the year. I’ll be dividing these posts in favorite nail arts and favorite polishes for 2018.
I haven’t done that much nail art during 2018. I’ve had a period of time when I hadn’t done any nail art at all, but during November and December I’ve got more and more excited about nail art again. Yay!
My top 5 favorite nail art 2018 come in no particular order, so here they are!
I think this is one of my first fill-in stamping nail art and I love the concept. I think fill-in nail arts are very pretty but oh so time consuming! I also think it’s hard to see well what you are doing when the patterns are so small.
I’ve kind of discovered stamping this year, stamping one pattern after another. This manicure is one of my favorite among the stamping ones. I love the contrast between the black and the yellow/orange base.
I’ve always been in love with nude bases. Combined with black, the contrast can make almost any pattern stand out. This manicure is done with nail wraps from Saijtam.se.
I was actually hesitating between these snowy nails and these, but I had to choose one so the blue based ones kind of won :P. What can I say, I love dotticures :D
I also love the dry brush technique! It’s such a quick nail art and I love the abstract feeling of the outcome! The manicure holds surprisingly well too, so these ended up being my Christmas Nails with no tip-wear after one week of wear time and no touch-ups! And you know what? I’m still not taking these down for at least a couple of more days :P
