I’m not always remembering to do Valentine’s Nail Art, but this year I felt both inspired and had some extra time to do so. I wanted something cute yet not pink since I’ve been wearing pink a lot during the last month so I went for a nude base, Zoya Leah. This is a polish that I’ve had for a couple of years or so and I’ve been returning to it from time to time. In fact, I’ve been returning to the whole collection (Zoya Naturel Satins) from time to time.
My base dried quickly so I went on to the actual Valentine’s Nail Art. I discovered some cute hearts on one of my few MoYou plates and I just had to try to do a nail art with them. The black used in this nail art comes from Depend and it’s a stamping black numbered 6701. This black has worked nicely with the stampings that I’ve done so far so I’m continuing with it because of that.
I went on filling in the hearts with a red from IsaDora named Viva Red. This is one of the reds that I’m usually grabbing when I want to do a nail art with red so I did that this time too.
This stamping is my first fill-in stamping and I was surprised to see how easy this actually was. My stamping adventures have just begun, that much I can tell you :D
In the end I was very happy with this manicure in person, even if magnified, the hearts don’t as well painted with red. I kept the manicure matte, applying a matte topcoat that didn’t actually look as matte as I was hoping for. I think I’ve got more of a satin finish to this manicure, but that’s totally OK.
Have you done a Valentine’s Nail Art this year?
