Nail Art – Moroccan Inspired
Moroccan Inspired is the theme for today’s Nail Art Sunday at Lelack. I browsed through lots of gorgeous Moroccan tiles but I realized pretty soon that I wouldn’t have the patience to paint all those gorgeous details so I started to search through my stamping plates for a pattern that would be suitable for the theme. The pattern was actually on the same plate that I’ve used for stamping on the Layla polish – Vamp Red, the MoYou London plate no 5 from the Fairytale series. The pattern isn’t actually stamped on the nails, because I wanted to try to do nail decals this time. For the stamping I’ve used one of the colors that was typical the Moroccan tiles that I’ve browsed through, a muted green/mint from OPI – Thanks a Windmillion. I framed the nails with the same color and toppcoated everything. The decals worked pretty well but I did get a large amount of bubbles under them. That wasn’t visible at all in person but magnified on my computer screen, they are quite disturbing. I think I’ll stamp directly on my nails the next time. Also I think I should have chosen a more contrasting color. The nail art is a little bit too subtle for me as it is now.
What a sweet combination of colours.
Because the design lines are do fine, maybe it would be easier to see the pattern with a brick red, often used in Morroccan art. I like the green and the effect the way you have it, it’s just hard to make out the design.
Otroligt vackert! Lågmält och väldigt stylish. :-)
Svårt tema denna veckan men du lyckades ju bra, det blev jättefint!
Önskar jag fått se fler bilder, ser spännande ut.
Very very pretty and subtle.
Love it! Love the base color and the cream colored design. Great job and great choice!
