Roundup for July

July always means vacation for me. Being away from home for a longer time, I’ve worn fewer manicures than usual. While on vacation in France where I’ve been for about two weeks I’ve only worn two manicures, the beautiful neon purple Pixie – Very Violet and A England – Dancing with Nureyev. There are two important aspects when choosing my polishes when I’m away: they have to have a great formula with a great opacity (the polishes have to cover in maximum two coats, one if possible) and they have to be easy to remove. Both Very Violet and Dancing with Nureyev were fulfilling these conditions and besides that, what’s more summery than a neon and a holo polish ;) Even though I haven’t worn that many polishes during July, I had prepared blog posts for the days I was gone, both swatches and manicures I’ve been wearing late June and early July.

Features

During July I’ve been featured with three manicures at Eleven.se where I’ve showed Layla polishes both a couple of thermo ones and Layla’s One Step Gel Nail Polish Starter Kit. I’ve also showed OPI’s collaboration collection with Coca Cola, a collection that features a lot of polishes that could easily became my favorites.

The three nail arts that made it to my top three are the water spotted neon manicure recently done for the #BusyGirlNail theme for week 1 – Neon (I’m still wearing that one ;) ), the manicure done with the dry brush technique and the roses painted on the newspaper print. As always it’s hard to choose but I think these three are my favorites.

Polishes

The choice of favorite polishes was even harder. I’ve shown you a lot of polishes that I love a lot and my top three are: Shimmer Polish – Melissa, OPI – Coca Cola Red and Kiko 389 that, as pointed by the girls who knew much more about Kiko polishes than I do, has a name, Mint Milk :) Great name for a great polish!!

First of all I am amazed at what you lined up to keep is entertained during your absence – thank you so much for the immense effort!!! This month there was a nailart that impressed me above and beyond – and you show it also in the Roundup: the roses over he print. That was really flooring me and if you don’t mind, I will use it as inspiration… The other awesomeness was Kiko 389 – OMG it is simply amazing – gorgeous month hon xxx
