Today I’m joining a nail art challenge, the #BusyGirlNails with the theme “Summer”. The challenge is an Instagram based one hosted by @beautybyarielle, @fiercemakeupandnails, @mirandasmakeup and @drinkcitra that goes on once a week during five weeks. The theme for the first week is “Neon” and for that I did a water spotted manicure with a neon base.
I started by applying two coats of the newly bought Sephora – Under the covers. The polish didn’t cover entirely in two coats but because I wanted to use it as a base for my neon of choice, the bright yellow China Glaze – Polka Dot Bikini I only applied the third coat on the accent nail. I was hoping to find a new favorite in Under the covers but I didn’t. I only applied one coat of Polka Dot Bikini over the white base and that was more than enough to get the neon yellow brightness that I wanted. Yellow Polka Dot Bikini is a little bit old (since 2010) and the application of it isn’t that great as one would wish. I also remember it having a terrible formula from the beginning and the years only made it worse :D Anyway the color is still amazing for a yellow neon. For the water spotted look I used Nordic Cap NP12 and some hairspray.
Otroligt snyggt och häftigt!
Så snyggt! Det där med hårspray måste ju bara testas! :)
It looks amazing on you hon!!! By the way: Cult Nails Tempest is my alltime stark white polish – best formula ever in a white polish!! <3
Så läckert det blev!
I love the spotted effect! is so cool!
Wow! Very cool summer nails!
That looks very cool!

Läckert som tusan
This nail art looks great! I love all these colors together :)
