Guest post at Eleven.se

By MyNailpolishOnline

For today’s guest post at Eleven.se I’ve played around with OPI’s sheer tins. I see a lot of possibilities with these polishes both worn on their own and as nail art. The Sheer Tins are indeed sheer but buildable to a vibrant color. On the picture below I’ve used OPI – My Boyfriend Scales Walls as a base and I built blocks of colors with a half dry nail polish brush. On top of that I painted a black flower letting the colors shine through to the petals. For swatches of the Sheer Tins and for more pictures, see the guest post here.

Smitten Polish – You Saucy Minx

By MyNailpolishOnline

Smitten Polish does some of my favorite indie polishes right now! You Saucy Minx is coming from a recent collection called “Love Actually” and it’s a purple jelly packed with duochrome glitters! The glitter color shifts from pink to green depending on light and angle! So beautiful! The polish covered in three coats which I’ve expected (hey, it’s a jelly ;) ). If you want to see great pictures and reviews of more Smitten polishes visit Sminkan and Emma’s blog. And if you want to get this polish you can get it from Smitten Polish homepage or from Edgy Polish. I’ve bought mine from Edgy Polish who has a great spring sale going on with 40% discount on over 200 lovely polishes!

Essie – Turquoise & Caicos with black triangles

By MyNailpolishOnline

Turquoise & Caicos by Essie is one of those polishes that has been on my wish list like forever! I’ve got it for about a year ago but I haven’t worn it yet (!!) until yesterday when I suddenly felt it was time! The turquoise jelly is quite sheer but it still covers in three coats. The lovely turquoise has a dusty quality about it and I really love how it looks on my nails. When I put it on I also knew I wanted to do some black triangles at the cuticle bases. I’ve seen this kind of nail art for about a week ago at Pshiiit and wanted to try it right away. I did the triangles without a tape because I think it’s quicker to paint them by hand. The black polish is Nordic Cap NP12.

How do you like Turquoise & Caicos? Do you have it in your stash?

Smitten Polish – Amas Veritas

By MyNailpolishOnline

Let’s start the week with a gorgeous polish coming from Smitten Polish! This is Amas Veritas which is definitely a polish that will draw the attention to your nails! The bright pink/magenta jelly base is packed with tiny magenta glitters that really glow! The polish applied well and covered in two coats! I applied a couple of topcoats to get the shine and it was beautiful! I’ve bought the polish from Edgy Polish at the end of last year but I haven’t worn it until recently but now that I did wear it I just want to wear it again very soon! Maybe in a nail art?

Realce – Arara Vermelha

By MyNailpolishOnline

I’ve been wearing this beautiful red coming from Realce these days. The polish is called Arara Vermelha and it comes from a swap I did with a sweet girl from Brazil called Paola last spring. Arara Vermelha is a red jelly with lots of shimmers infused in it. It’s really gorgeous but the polish has one downside: it takes forever to dry even with a fast drying top coat on! That’s such a pity! Knowing that it’s worth the wait. The polish was easy to apply though and it covered in two coats! Not bad for a jelly!
