Nail art with stamping

I didn’t think that a nail art with stamping would be a thing I would get so excited about doing, if you would have asked me a couple of months ago. I’ve recently told you that I’ve fallen in love with stamping though and I did! It all started with this stamping plate from MoYou called Fashionista 08. I don’t know why this plate in particular, but I know that I’ve started a series of manicures using with this plate.

I also have a couple of other MoYou plates that I plan to start using and also some other plates that I haven’t used in ages! When I say ages, I really mean years ago :D

The Nail Art

Now let’s start with today’s nail art. The base of my manicure is the gold polish from CND Creative Play called Ballroom Baubles. I needed to wear gold again (yes, this is a manicure that I kept on my nails). I was thinking of pairing Ballroom Baubles with a black pattern but I changed my mind and went for the dusty blue Denim Date from the same collection as Ballroom Baubles. Don’t you just love how well the ornaments transferred to the nails? Now I’m not that good at placing the stamping on the exact spot that I want it to be on. That’s a “practice makes perfect” thing, right? I do plan to practice more on the nail with stamping thing :D Right now, I’m happy that the entire pattern transferred so well on to the nails.

The stamper

I find the stamper just as important as the plate that I’m using. Right now I use a very squishy stamper that is transparent so you can see exactly where you place your pattern. That makes it easy to control the outcome of the manicure and I don’t think I’m ever going back to compact stampers again. Also, using squishy stampers makes a huge difference for me. I think it’s one of the things that makes covering an entire nail so easy.

Stamping plates and stampers

My question to you is which are your favorite stampers and/or stamping plates? I need to update my stamping stash :D

    It’s beautiful! :)
I really like BornPrettyStore’s stamping plates and Lina’s. I think they’re my favourite two brands. Moyou London is great too, but you’ve already found those :)
