31DC2015 – Day8 Metallic Nails

Negative spaces have been on my mind since spring. So have the fake tattoos that I own that I should have used as fake tattoos during summer (well, I’ve used them once but I wanted to save the rest of them for my nails).

I chose to use them on my naked nails and I love how they look!

It was actually not that easy to place these tattoos on the exactly right spot. If you want precision you’ll have to first detach the tattoos from the paper by soaking them and use a small plier to maneuver them. Once you’ve aimed and placed them on your nails, you won’t be able to move them around as you are able to with water decals because they are sticky. Remember to add a topcoat if you want your tattoos to last as a regular manicure on your nails.

I think practice makes perfect even here so the precision will come with time. This is my second try with the manicure as the first tattoos weren’t centered the way I wanted them to be. This isn’t perfect either but I’m quite happy with the placement and I love the whole look.

For last years’ contributions take a look at 31DC2013 and 31DC2014.
