I’m always a great fan of using water marbling of some sort because of the variety of patterns you get and the unpredictability of this technique. That’s why you can do an endless chain of manicures using the same technique and you’ll most likely get a new result every time unless you actually want to repeat a pattern which is also possible for the skilled ones. When it comes to my manicures, I like being surprised by new patterns and I love the surprise I’ve got this time.
The base is the honey colored Ready to Propose from Wet ‘n Wild and the pattern is done with Wet ‘n Wild Be more Pacific. I was thinking of inverting the polishes but cremes behave much better on the surface of the water than shimmers and metallics.
The inspiration of the manicure actually came from oxidized copper and while the colors maybe aren’t spot on, I love the effect. I tried to cover the nails with different amount of green to create more dynamic in the interaction between the green and the gold so I’ve picked up patterns from different parts of the water surface.

Mycket vackert och spännande effekt! Jag har aldrig riktigt lärt mig att behärska water marbling, tycker dels det är svårt och dels så förbaskat kladdigt och bökigt. Använder du nåt speciellt vatten?
