Together with the eye palette and the eye pencil from Ciaté’s collaboration collection with Olivia Palermo I’ve also got a nail polish from the same collection, the dark red Napa Valley. I’ve tried a couple of polishes from this collection before (Sundays and Hutch) and I loved everything about them so I was curious to see how a dark shade like this would behave on my nails.
The first impression is the beautiful package that these polishes come into. It’s the same concept as the two polishes shown to you before with the difference that the box is dark blue. You get the same luxurious feeling of a high end brand both thanks to the package and to the beautiful bottle of polish with the golden cap and the golden text on the bottle.
The polish is a dream to work with. The formula is thicker than I’m usually working with, but oh so pigmented! This dark shade of red/plum covered in one single coat on most of my nails. The only nail I had to apply a second coat to was the ring finger where I saw the color was a little thinner. I’m sure I’ll be able to apply this entirely in one coat the next time.
