CND Vinylux – Tundra

I’ve been craving a pink metallic the other day, going through my memory to find something to use in a nail art that I’ve had in mind but I couldn’t find one in my stash. This is kind of weird since I thought I couldn’t possibly miss a color in my huge stash (which would need some kind of de-cluttering). But there I was, without a pink metallic! No wonder I changed my manicure right away when the pink metallic Tundra came yesterday, along with three other gorgeous shades and a Vinylux topcoat. Not only was it a pink metallic, it was the “right” shade of pink, the one that is more blue-toned! I love the peach-toned ones too but the blue-toned go better together with my skin.

These polishes are said to hold up to one week if used together with the special topcoat. I’ll have to do a durability test someday soon!

I love the application. Such finishes tend to leave a lot of brush strokes but there actually aren’t as many brush strokes as they usually are with these kinds of finishes! The brush strokes are much less visible in person than in the picture.

I didn’t actually need more than one coat to cover completely but I did apply a second coat on the nails you are seeing. It was more a “just in case” coat :D

I conclusion: I love the shade, the application and the opaqueness! It’s a polish that I’m surely going to use on its own or in nail art! I’m already planning on doing some designs with it lol.

Tundra comes from the Aurora Collection, available since November 2015.

Inte min tepåse alls tyvärr. Har liknande lack från Depend tror jag men nej, jag är tyvärr inget fan…

I’m not a fan of brush strokes but I guess they are more visible when you take photos of the mani :)

I usually don’t like metallic polishes because of the visible brush stokes, though I like this shade a lost on your nails!

It’s actually very pretty and the brush strokes aren’t that visible in person ;)

Pink metallic is not smth I’d wear on my nails solo, but as you say, for nail art one needs tons of colourful bases, and I think Tundra can work great as a design base :) Looking forward to see the those designs with the polish that you have in mind ;)
