Pink Nail art celebrating the ongoing research of breast cancer

October month always brings us the awareness of one of the most common cancer forms, the breast cancer. As we all know, cancer in general is very common and many times mortal but research is continuously going on in all cancer fields and lots of discoveries are done both of how to cure cancer and how to prevent cancer from taking over the body. My biggest fascination right now is in the field of prevention and understanding how we, by doing small changes in our lifestyle, are able to influence how the body reacts and prevents the cancer from spreading.

Can we eat to starve cancer? Well this is one way of looking at it and there are many other ways, most of them left to be discovered.

For the ones who are interested in the subject and interested in listening to the results of cancer researchers, doctors and technicians working with cancer I’m linking to a playlist of TED talks that covers the breast cancer from different angles.

Now let’s take a look at today’s pink nail art, my contribution to Helena’s breast cancer awareness week.

I started with three coats of IsaDora – Boho Pink and then I started experimenting with some kind of water marbling (not the usual one). I dropped a few drops of OPI – Antibleak on the surface of the water then I started waving around with a toothpick in the water creating irregular patterns. The more irregular the pattern was, the better :D Then I simply dipped my nails into the water, picking up some of the most interesting patterns formed on the surface of the water. The result is interesting in its chaotic way. I love it!

I love this! It’s so beautiful! I’ve never had luck with traditional watermarbeling (maybe one nail one time in many, MANY times of trying), but you can bet I’m going to give this method a try. Thank you!
