Nail Art – Roses on matte lilac

While I was wearing the gorgeous matte from Smitten Polish the other day, I couldn’t help not applying some roses on it. I’m in a floral mood right now and as I was loving the previous rose manicure that I did on OPI – Don’t touch my Tutu I wanted to do another rose manicure. This is a different design though, putting a bunch of roses in a corner then doing a dotticure on the two of the nails. The roses didn’t come out as nice as I thought they would though. The dark purple shade used for them (pixi – Very Violet) was very thick to work with (or dried very fast on my brush :D ) so the lines are not as I planned them to be, but I still love the overall impression of the manicure. I finished the manicure with a coat of Cirque Colors – Matte because I wanted to protect the nail art AND to preserve the beautiful satin-like finish of the manicure <3
