This year’s piCture pOlish Blog Fest is a challenge: Create the most amazing nail art ever including a step by step tutorial!
Awards:
All nail art creations go into the running to be chosen to create a collaboration shade with piCture pOlish launched in 2014. There are three awards that will be voted and chosen via piCture pOlish special Pinterest Blog Fest 2013 board as follows:
- 1 x Award – as voted by piCture pOlish friends and fans
- 1 x Award – as voted by all the participants of Blog Fest 2013
- 1 x Award – as voted by Jules & Megs of piCture pOlish
piCture pOlish provided us bloggers with three polishes for the nail art. I received splash (by piCture pOlish), attitude (by Overall Beauty) and shocked (by Shatter me Claire).
This is the manicure I’ve done with the three shades:
I started the nail art by painting one coat of shocked on my nails. Shocked is such a gorgeous base for this manicure!
I wanted to do a gradient with these three shades, so I started by putting some small blobs of shocked and attitude next to each other on a piece of paper. I dipped a little bit of kitchen sponge into the two colors and started to work on the gradient.
I only did the gradient on the pointer and the pinky nails as I had other plans for the two middle fingers. After doing the gradient I added one coat of top coat.
While the gradient started to dry, I started doing some swirls with attitude starting from the middle of my ring finger. I used a small nail art brush for doing that.
I added more swirls to that…
…and more swirls….
… and even more swirls….
I did something similar with on the other nail. Look at them shining in the sun :)
Then I added another gradient over the previous gradient using splash. This was to be a glitter gradient.
I topped everything with a top coat that finished the manicure! I hope you enjoyed the end result!!
