Polish Days - Sentimental Polish
This month’s Polish Days theme was easy and hard at the same time. Easy because I knew exactly which polish I wanted to share with you and hard because I remembered the proprieties of this polish as terrible. Well, they were kind of terrible too, but they weren’t exactly as bad as I remembered them to be. The polish is sheer (it took 3 coats for coverage) and dries slowly.
Anyway, this polish is actually from around 1995-1997 and it’s the first blue polish I’ve ever seen on the market. Before this one, there were only whites, pinks and reds but this was the first polish that I ever saw that differed from the mainstream and I had to have it :D. I remember wearing this with much pleasure but never being able to get a mani to dry completely without a dent. Well, the fast drying top coats didn’t exist back days or if they did exist, I didn’t know about them :D
This is how the bottle was looking after all these years and before I started shaking and trying to blend the polish into something paintable!
I still love this polish and it seems that I can still paint it on my nails. It’s strange the polish is still wearable after all these years. I’m so happy to rediscover my first blue polish I’ve ever had!

Wow! That bottle screams ‘vintage’! And you did a great job in reviving the formula. I could not tell that it’s old polish painted on your nails. ANd you’re right! I don’t recall seeing many colours beyond the safe ones back then. How spoiled are we now? LOL!
Nice blue though. :) I remember, that I wore a similar blue (in a little frog bottle with a gold crown as cap ^^) for my confirmation in church. Loved it! My granny not so much…

Väldigt snygg blå nyans också! Det är så roligt med de där första flaskorna som man sparat. Ska se om jag kan leta fram en också när jag kommer hem idag

What a lovely colour! And yes interesting that a 15-16 yr old polish is still perfectly usable. So much those ppl that say that nail polish goes off. How could something that could be used to preserve a lung go off! I don’t even remember being particularly aware of polish back then. I had one or two but rarely had any nails to speak of to paint it on:)
Vilket underbart tema! Åh, vad många lack jag hade kunnat plocka fram om jag varit med! Rimmel Mania, L’Oreal Ruby Noir, Maybellines gröna med guldskimmer, Max Factors Metallic Jade! Ja, mina sentimentala lack är alla low end men jag älskade dem!
