This is my first matte nail polish I’ve got and it was because I liked the swatches of the regular “ you don’t know Jacques”, and because I wanted to try a matte nail polish. Did I like it? Well….
I was surprised by the way it dried on my nails. It’s like watercolors drying on paper. Look!

The bottle comes with a tag where it says that you shouldn’t use a base coat, top coat, drying products or any hand lotions. I used hand lotion after a while and what happens is that you loose the matte surface and you end up with some kind of darker shade with a suede like feeling over it. It’s not bad, but it’s not matte!
Even though I knew I should have watched my nails so they wouldn’t loose their matteness they didn’t stay matte for more than a couple of hours anyway. Lucky me I took the pictures as soon as I put the polish on.
There is another problem with matte nail polishes, the don’t last as long as regular nail polishes. A couple of hours after the application and I had my first chip!
But they do dry fast!
