When it comes to freehanding, I’m not sure it can get any easier than doing animal prints on nails! If you haven’t tried this technique yet, I think you should give it a try because it’s fast, pretty and really easy!
Basic Nail Art Techniques and how to combine them
I think most of you remember my nail art book, Basic Nail Art Techniques and how to combine them. If not, visit it at Amazon where you can preview some chapters, one of them being how to do Animal Print on nails. In the chapters you can get step by step tutorials and also some suggestions on which colors you could use and how to combine this technique with other techniques for a more advanced manicure.
The book is available for kindle but also as a paperback. The paperback version has been recently released, also on Amazon.
The nail art
Let’s get back to this manicure which is one of my favorite when it comes to color combinations. The base is the poppy red called OPI A Red Vival City, coming from OPI’s Lisbon collection. For the insides of the leopard spots I used the gold Zoya Gal. That’s a pretty Zoya :D. The outer parts of the spots are done with another OPI polish called Less is Norse. Everything is topcoated with a fast drying topcoat.
How about you? Do you love leopard prints (on nails) as much as I do? I must admit that I’m not a big fan of leopard prints on other things as cloths etc.
OOh la la, this is gorgeous!
Jättesnyggt verkligen! Det var jättelänge sen jag gjorde leopardfläckar, jag blev lite sugen nu…
That’s a pretty animal print and the base color is amazing.
I’m addicted to animal print! I love it for clothes, shoes, bags… and nails.
This red polish is really gorgeous ♥
Jättesnygg manikyr! Älskar färgerna tillsammans, det blåa tillsammans med det röda är helt perfekt.
