Essie – Looks to Thrill

Essie has formulated a new line of polishes this year called Essie Gel Couture. The polishes from this collection come in a new twirly bottle and have a wide brush. Essie’s brushes have varied between the continents and I own both polishes with wide brushes and with small ones within the regular series of polishes. My preference for brushes have varied too, going from preferring wide brushes to small and then back to wide brushes again where I stand right now.

Essie Gel Couture formula is said to last for 14 days which makes these polishes highly attractive for the vacation time. You also won’t need a base coat and the polishes are said to have a formula that avoids staining. I’m always using base coats and if you want an extra protection for your nails you should use base coats too, at least with the darker colors. Remember though that a base coat may alter the longevity of the manicures.

Looks to thrill is a melon colored polish – orange but not a neon orange. The polish applied really nicely and I think it covered after two coats. I applied a third coat anyway because I wasn’t quite sure of the opacity. I didn’t see much of a difference after the third coat so I guess two coats would have been enough.

Vilken underbart färg! Jag har några kvar att testa bland dessa, bland annat en i korall/persika men tror inte att det är denna, den jag har är nog lite ljusare.
