Klinta massage candle – an update

Since I’ve shown you the nice-scented light from Klinta I’ve got an email from Katarina from Edgy Polish who wondered if I’ve discovered the full potential of the candle. Well, I hadn’t so she kindly informed me of the properties of the light that I had missed.

This is not just a regular nice smelling candle, this is a massage candle!

This means that if you let the candle burn for a while, the warm oil can be used as massage oil. You can either dip your fingers directly into the fluid oil or pour some of it in your hands and start massaging. The candle is vegan and made entirely of oils and soy wax.

When you light the candle the oil never gets warmer than 55 deg C which is said to be the ideal temperature for oil when used for a massage.

Before you light your candle, the instructions says that you should cut the wick to about 0,6 cm above the surface. I didn’t do that but I hope I’ll still get out most of the candle :D You should also let the candle burn until the wax on the surface melts all the way out to the edges. This step is necessary to prevent the candle from burning down in the middle.

The easiest way to use the candle (if you don’t use it to massage the entire body) is to massage your hands and cuticles with the warm and pleasant oil mixture. Light the scented candle as a ritual for a weekend night for example and right before you go to sleep, use the warm oil on your hands and arms. That’s my plan, anyway :D

Be sure to put the candle off before you go to sleep though to prevent fire of any kind. Store the candle in a cool place when you don’t use it.

Att använda den för händer och nagelband låter som en bra idé, vilken kul grej!
