Ruffian nails

Today I wanted to do a super simple nail art design again. I think I need these minimalistic designs from time to time, maybe as pallet cleansers for nail art, if you know what I mean!

This time I wanted to use guides and I wanted a contrast. I started with a black base (A England – Lancelot) then I topcoated the nails. Lancelot is a great black because you won’t need to apply more than one coat to cover the nails completely. On the other hand, you won’t need 100% opacity for the entire nail because you’re going to cover up the majority of that black anyway. The important thing is that the area next to your cuticles is opaque enough to use it as a contrast to the rest of the nail.

For the rest of the nail I used Zoya – Rowan.
