I love it when my manicures start to have a life of their own. I started this manicure as an experiment putting a light pink on my nails as a base for my nail art. The light pink is CND Vinylux Winter Glow.
Then I started experimenting with asymmetrical placed stripes. I knew I wanted a gold/copper on top of my pink and I also wanted to blend in a green. I used Milani – Gold Plated for the gold and Sweden Nails – Green Tea for my green. I didn’t really planed on doing the gold stripe as wide as I did it but I ended up covering another green stripe that didn’t look that good with the larger gold stripe and that actually worked out better than I hoped for.
I also think my lines are straighter now than before (they are all freehanded) so I’m happy with that! This might open the door to more freehanded striped-based nail art and I can’t wait to experiment with that!
