Nail Art – Christmas tree

I started this manicure with the intend of using tape to shape the tree. I wanted to use the watercolor technique to color the tree (which I did) and stay within the taped area but that didn’t work out for me. The tree wasn’t what I was looking for so I started to build on that tree with a brush still using the watercolor technique. I was much happier with the result that way. I guess tape doesn’t always work out for me :P

The background is a gradient between a white and China Glaze – Kinetic Candy to set the scene to a cold winter day. For the rest of the manicure I’ve used:

  • Vinylux – Locket love (gold)
  • OPI – Ro-man-ce on the moon (red)
  • Wet’n wild – Miami Spirit (green)
  • Zoya – Rowan (the brown used for the Christmas tree’s base)
