Tutorial – Gradient nail tips

When I did the 31DC2015 I’ve got a question about how I did the gradient tips from day 10, Gradient Nails. I promised Emma that I would do a tutorial when the 31DC2015 was over and now we’re there!

This is what you need:

  • Two polishes for the gradient
  • A base and a fast drying polish
  • Guides for the tips
  • A sponge for the gradient
  • A plier for the sponge (this is optional)

Here’s how to do it:

Start with a base. I used a transparent base but you can use any color or shade you want. Wait for the base to dry completely before you start to paint your gradient nail tips.

  1. Place the guides at your nail tips.
  2. Paint two stripes with the chosen colors on the sponge
  3. Sponge on the nail tips with the sponge, placing the transition between the two colors in the middle of your nail. Move the sponge sidewise a little bit to create a smoother gradient
  4. Remove the guides. Clean up and topcoat

I used Orly Luxe and Nordic Cap NP12 for the gradient.

Aha , du svampar alltså direkt, utan att ha målat nån färg som bas. Verkat väldigt smidigt, måste testa en funky french av den här modellen!
