When I did the 31DC2015 I’ve got a question about how I did the gradient tips from day 10, Gradient Nails. I promised Emma that I would do a tutorial when the 31DC2015 was over and now we’re there!
This is what you need:
- Two polishes for the gradient
- A base and a fast drying polish
- Guides for the tips
- A sponge for the gradient
- A plier for the sponge (this is optional)
Here’s how to do it:
Start with a base. I used a transparent base but you can use any color or shade you want. Wait for the base to dry completely before you start to paint your gradient nail tips.
- Place the guides at your nail tips.
- Paint two stripes with the chosen colors on the sponge
- Sponge on the nail tips with the sponge, placing the transition between the two colors in the middle of your nail. Move the sponge sidewise a little bit to create a smoother gradient
- Remove the guides. Clean up and topcoat
I used Orly Luxe and Nordic Cap NP12 for the gradient.
Pretty! Great idea for a gradient, the French.
