31DC2015 Day30 – Inspired by a tutorial

Are you on Periscope lovelies? I’ve recently joined it and watched a few broadcastings (without broadcasting anything myself) and one of the broadcastings that I’ve watched for about a week ago was about negative spaces.

It was Steph Stone that showed together with OPI a different way of doing a negative space manicure that I just had to try. Because it was on Periscope the broadcasting is gone but I can describe to you the difference between how I’m usually doing negative spaces and how she did it.

When I’m doing a negative space manicure I’m masking the negative space and paint the nails with the chosen polish. Steph started by painting the entire nail in the color of her choice, placed the tape on the nail and then removed the polish in-between the tapes with a small brush and nail polish remover, keeping the tape in place!

This is the way I did this manicure too and I thought it was an interesting way of doing negative spaces. The question is if I’m going to use this method the next time or if I’ll do it the way I’ve been doing it so far. I’m not sure yet. I think time will tell :D

Väldigt snyggt men tekniken verkar lite bökig. Nope, använder inte Periscope, vet inte ena vad det är:)

Lite extra svårt att få tejpen att hålla kvar så här kanske? Men resultatet blev fint iaf!
