Today’s theme is “Inspired by Artwork” and I’ve chosen this Van Gogh painting as an inspiration. I was actually going to do another Van Gogh painting for today but seeing this painting gave me the excuse to paint the cherry blossoms that I’ve never done before :P Well, it’s also a floral, so I just had to pick it as an inspiration.
I started with Revlon – Revlon Red as a base and added brush strokes with UNE C16 to create some texture. I’ve actually considered leaving the nail art uncoated to create the oil depth in the nail art but it didn’t dry textured so I topcoated it in the end. (I think I should have used acrylic paints for that?)
The tree is painted with Nordic Cap NP12 and the blossoms are painted with two kinds of white IsaDora – Marble and Sephora Under the Covers (yep Marble is too thick and almost empty so I changed the polishes in the middle of the nail art!!). I’ve also added some golden strokes in the middle of my flowers using Aden 07.
