I was very curious about the Tie Die from Sephora. It’s supposed to do a gradient on your nails and without remembering too much about what has been said and written about this polish, I bought it when I saw it in France.
I was expecting to get more visible results with the polish. I was also expecting to get smoother results that I’ve got. I’m used to obtaining smooth gradients that (kind of seamlessly) go from one color to another and this is not quite the result I’ve got with this polish.
The polish is very water-y. You are supposed to paint it on different levels on your nails, accentuating the color more and more to create the gradient. It took me four to five coats of Tie Die to create a gradient and the coats were not drying fast.
In the end I kind of liked the effect even if it wasn’t what I expected. It looks like a subtle water marble or as if there were different colored levels on my nails. Now I think I should have used the gradient as a background for a beach-like scenario. It would have been a nice one.

I haven’t tried this, but I have been standing with the bottle in Sephora and considered buying it. I always ended up putting it back in the rack though :)

I think you can do better gradients on your own even if the effect looks kind of cool :D
Jag gjorde en ombre med denna förra sommaren. Jag upplevde också att effekten inte var så stor med ett lager men jag tyckte det var rätt kul ändå :)
