Nail art with some kind of water marble

So, I’m back to white backgrounds which are my favorites right now. The nails look so fresh wearing white nail polish!! This time my inspiration came from these cups. The contrast between the white and the blue/turquoise was very catchy so I wanted to recreate the pattern on my nails.

To do so I started with a couple coats of IsaDora – Marble and then I started dropping a couple of colors on the water surface, as if I was going to do a water marble. My intention was to spray with hair spray on the water surface but the dots wouldn’t spread so I dragged with a toothpick from the middle to the edge to see what happens. The polish that I’ve dropped into the middle started to spread, taking the other one with it and I suddenly had a very strange pattern on my water surface! I was about to remove the pattern to redo the process when I realized that this was actually what I was looking for, the random combination of the two colors, not too organized but just… random! So I dipped my nail tips into the pattern (trying to only dip my tips even if it was tempting to dip the whole nail :D )

The pattern ended up exactly the way I wanted and I was actually able to dip all my nails here and there without worrying about destroying the pattern, it was supposed to look like that :D

The polishes used for the marble were Orly – Skinny Dip and Kiko – 389.
