Today I’m trying something new: loose glitter! I’ve kind of always been curious about the loose glitter but haven’t tried it until today.
I started with one coat of Appeal4 – Butterfly Orchid and framed the nails with a small nail art brush and some clear nail polish. Then I dipped my nails into the glitter and brushed off the excess glitter. You have to work one nail at the time, especially if you use fast drying top coat to frame the nails. After you’re done it’s actually surprisingly easy to adjust the design if you see imperfections. Just add a little bit more clear polish and repeat the process or push the lines gently where they are uneven. I saw afterwards that I should have adjusted more on the ring finger but by then the design was off my nails :D I photographed the nails without a top coat first. I loved how the glitter stood out on the nails like snow or sugar on top but I’m pretty sure the glitter is going to disappear if you live it that way so I’ve topcoat it afterwards. Some of the loose glitter followed with the brush and “contaminated” the creme surface so I guess I should have brushed off more glitter to be safe.

Vilken läcker design! Kul med en ram av glitter! Jag har gjort gradienter med löst glitter nån eller några gånger och det blir ju väldigt fint men det stökar ju ner en del helt klart.
Tjusigt! Effekten får mig att tänka på socker- eller saltkanten på en drink. :-)

Snyggt :) Imponerad att du lyckades hålla glittret så pass bra på plats ändå, det har ju en tendens att hamna precis överallt! Jag har gjort några manis med löst glitter, men då brukar jag mer lägga det lite random varstans, inte i ett specifikt mönster eller någon form. :) Jag har dock märkt att det hjälper att “trycka ner” glittret lite med fingrarna, då håller det på plats bättre när man topplackar. Fast det gjorde du kanske redan, haha :)
