Today’s manicure kind of had a life of it’s own! It is an attempt at participation to Nail Art Sunday at Lelack that has the theme Antique and to the Nail Art Challenge #BusyGirlNail that has the theme – Favorite Summer Color hosted by @beautybyarielle, @fiercemakeupandnails, @mirandasmakeup and @drinkcitra. So, how antique is my manicure? Let’s take a look at the thoughts behind the manicure :D On my pinky and index finger I’ve started with A-England Holy Grail! That must count as antique, right? Besides that, when I think of antique things I have gold and bronze in my head. With that said, Holy Grail qualifies twice for the antique theme IMO :D. How about the roses? Well, that’s where the manicure kind of got out of control! I wanted a couple or three roses on each nail but ended up filling all the space with roses! As for the favorite summer color, this summer I’ve had a thing for soft pinks. I used Bourjois – Peace and Mauve for the background of my ring finger and China Glaze – For Audrey as a background for my middle finger. So, how did I like the manicure? I kind of liked it in a weird way but it’s not going to go to my top three this month, that’s for sure :D
Nail Art – Antique
I think you did a great job of bringing together colors that are maybe not thought of as going well together. Soft pink and mint? Yes. A gold glitter with most anything? Yes. But I wouldn’t have thought of combining the three and they come off beautifully. The design is very striking. Thanks!
