January Roundup

I didn’t do any roundup for December but I did instead a couple of posts with my favorite manicures and polishes for 2013. Now when January has passed it’s time for me to do a roundup for January so the next December will be easier to summarize the year that has passed :D. January is usually a slow month but I did some nail arts that I loved a lot and I worn some absolutely gorgeous polishes!

Nail Art Challenges

I love challenges and I feel that they “force” me to think out new patterns and designs. Therefore I joined the #busynailgirls Winter Nail Art Challenge and I did three manicures for that with the themes during January: Teal, White and Glitter. I’ve also joined the Nail Art Sunday challenges that were Travel and Recreation of the first nail art ever shown on the blog.

Features

I’ve done three guest posts at Eleven.se this month: IsaDora Shine Bright, Zoya Zenith and OPI Pure 18K White Gold & Silver Top Coat. I loved doing these guest posts and my favorite is the one done with the Zoya Zenith polishes.

Nail Art

I thought it was hard to choose three nail arts this time but I ended up with the Camo Nail Art shown for you for not so long ago, the swirls done on the beautiful teal base POP Beauty – Poetic Peacock and the Gustav Klimt inspired manicure which is one of my absolutely favorites so far! During January I tried a new nail art technique, the spotted look, done like a water marble and with hairspray which I thought was easy to do and a lot of fun to wear! This is definitely a technique that I intend to use again in the near future!

Polishes

Again I had a hard time choosing my favorites this month but I ended up with two pinks (that’s a chock, hehe) and a neon purple, absolutely gorgeous all three! The polishes are Moonlight Glow from Celestials, Lilactric from Catrice and Very Violet from Pixi.

Misc.

Recently I’ve started to paint a little bit and my most creative month was actually December but I painted a little bit during January too and I want to show you one of my favorites so far, an aquarelle. I’ve been painting on and off for all my life but I haven’t painted anything (besides my nails hehe) for the last 10 years and it was so much fun to start again recently! I’ve tried oils, aquarelles and acrylic paints and they all have their charm but right now I think I’m preferring aquarelles.
