Day 23 – A Movie

I’m so sold on Miyazaki and his world! I’ve seen a lot of his movies and “My Neighbor Totoro” is one of my favorites of the ones I’ve seen! I so wanted to paint Totoro on my nails! I just wish I had more space for doing that though :D This is the picture I used as inspiration for painting him and his world. I actually did a gradient with Depend 353 (which is my sky) and Michelle M39 (a gorgeous green which I’ve received in a swap from the talented and lovely A Lacquered Affair). The gradient was beautiful (you’ve got to believe me when I say so because I’ve forgot to take a picture of it :D ) but it got all covered up by the tree :D For the tree I used Michelle M39, China Glaze Sunday Funday and Wet ‘n Wild – Miami Spirit which I used the watercolor technique to blend the colors with. For painting Totoro I used Gina Tricot Concrete Jungle, OPI – My Boyfriend Scales Walls and OPI – Black Onyx. For the moon and the moonshine I used Ruby Kisses – Yellow Bikini.
