Today’s theme of the 31 Days Challenge 2013 is gradient nails and I wanted to do some palms in sunset. I started with the purple Ruby Kisses Electric Purple and continued with China Glaze – Shell-O, China Glaze – Sun of a Peach and Zoya – Darcy. I’m absolutely sure Shell-O wasn’t needed as I could hardly see any impact of it into the gradient :D I think Flip Flop Fantasy would have worked better because it’s a creme, not a jelly. Do you see my thin lines of the palms? I’ve followed the suggestion of Brijit from Brijit’s Digits and watered the polish (with acetone) for thinner lines and that worked very nicely for these palms! For the black I’ve used OPI – Black Onyx.

The palms are very well painted! I did notice the thin lines of the leaves :) and I like the gradient. Sunset manicures are one of my favourites with palm trees.. :)
