Nail Art with Water Transfers

Today I have a little bit of nail art to show you. I’ve been asked by Hail the nails if I wanted to try their water transfers/decals and I said gladly yes! Take a look at their homepage, they have such great patterns!

This is one of the water transfers I chose to try, a black lace water transfer. I applied this over the whole nail on the left hand after painting one coat of Essie – Navigate her. On the right hand I decided to try half nails over the same base color.

I love the end result of this mani, especially the left hand when the whole nail is covered! What worked for me when I applied the water transfers was to cut the decal into the proper size from the beginning, but you can do it afterwards too if you like. After I took the water transfers from the water I had actually lots of time to adjust both the size and the placement of the pattern on my nail. The tricky part was to even the pattern over the nail since my nails have a little bit of a curvature, but in the end it evened up pretty well.

This looks so cool! I’ve never tried water transfers, they seem a bit intimidating to me. I really like your idea on your right hand :)
