Let’s take a look at another holographic nail polish, this time Depend 132. It’s a medium blue based holo that is lighter than OPI DS Glamour but has similar holo effect. The color covers in one coat and as usual when it comes to holos I have no
topcoat in the pictures.
Depend 132 is discontinued (why do they discontinue most of the holos?) but I managed to get one through the Swedish ebay, called Tradera.
I’ll leave you for my summer vacation with this beautiful holo. I’ll be back at the end of the July hopefully with my new polishes that I’m going to buy this summer :D
As you know, holos don’t last long without chipping. Soon I’m going to have to remove this holo from my nails. I’m considering whether to wear some of my favorites during the vacation or to try to go without nail polish for about 2-3 weeks. Usually I don’t go without nail polish for more than half a day. Maybe it’s a good thing for your nails to be polish free for some days? Are you wearing nail polishes all the time or are you taking a break from the polishes sometimes? Is it during your vacation?

The moment I saw the pictures I thought to myself ‘hey, this looks like a baby sister of DS glamour’. :D Lovely shade. And I’m never without nail polish. Ever. For the past two years or something. It’s just not happening. Polish protects the nail so it doesn’t break so easily or softens under water and so. It’s not neccessary for nail to “rest” from the nail polish, it isn’t alive, but I do pay attention to how drying my nail polish remover is, since that one can dry nail pretty hard. Scrangie had an awesome post on such matters like a millenia ago, if you have the time, try to find it, it really cleared some stuff up for me (I used to think nails need to “breathe” so I was uncomfortable with wearing polish all the time:)).

I tried to go around without nail polish for a week or so but ended up with shorter and shorter nails as they were so weak. So, for me, longer nails = nail polish just to get the length and protect the nails :)
Thanks for the tip about Scrangie’s post. I started searching but got sidetracked and ended up looking at swatches :D I’ll try to find it again, but I understand what you’re saying, you don’t need to rest the nails from nail polish :D (but maybe from the nail polish remover)
